SUMMER TRAINING The training is the instrument that allows the unemployed person to be introduced in a company in order to attain vocational training and career guidance. In the training three parties must be involved : an organizing body (Universities, schools, training and career guidance agencies, job centres), a host company and an apprentice. The organising body supervises the correct course of the training by means of a tutor who controls the realisations of the training and career guidance project created by the company. The training is not a business relation so it is unpaid. The company may, however, reimburse expenses to the apprentice. The contract must be written.

The summer training is for teenagers and young people who are regularly enrolled at University and every kind of schools and the can carry it out during the summer holidays. As every training, it is not a business relation but it constitutes a formative experience carried out in a company.

OBJECTIVE The summer training aims at facilitating the students in their professional choice and allowing a better career guidance in the world of work. Moreover it permits to acquire competences which can be used in the labour market.

DURATIONS AND LIMITS Summer training can last only 3 month and it is carried out in the period between the end of the academic or scholastic year and the beginning of the following one.In case of plurality of trainings, the duration cannot exceede the 3 month.

ECONOMIC BENEFIT The company that host the apprentice, even if it is not obliged, can give him an economic benefit not higher than 600€. For the aspects which aren’t regulated by law 276/2003 the disposition in the matter of formative are to be considered as for example :
-  Organising bodies, Regional School Offices, Schools, Vocational training centres ; these subjects are responsible for the correct course of the apprenticeship.
-  The companies willing to host apprentices must draw up suitable agreements with the organising bodies.
-  A formative and career guidance plan must be created for every apprentice and in this plan objectives and ways of carrying out the apprenticeship must be defined.
-  The activation of the apprenticeship does not give the right to the businness relations and at the same time the apprentice cannot be deleted from the registry list of the job centre ;
-  The apprentice must be insured against industrial accidents at INAIL ;
-  The activities carried out during the apprenticeship can be considered as formative credits

-  INAIL The National Insurance Istitute against industrial accidents has been created in order to reduce the number of industrial accidents, to insure the workers that carry out the activities of risk, to guarantee the reintegration in the working and social life injured workers.
